Hello there
I am searching for info on the Hughes family of Highland and PIke Co's Ohio

Stephen Hughes (born abt 1812) and Mary Satterfield ( Born abt 1812) had
the following children:

!. Amy Ann Hughes born Oct 1837 she married twice #1 Bradford Bell they had
daughter Sarah Bell she married Daniel Freshour
her second marriage was to J.R.Copeland and they had several children
Amy died Aug 1911 in Pike Co Oh

2. William Edward Hughes born 1839 i he also married twice first to Mary C
Scowden
after Mary died 1883 he married Charlotte P Burtcher. He died in Cuba
Crawford Co Mo in 1898

3. Nancy M Hughes born abt 1841 she married 01 Oct 1863 to Joseph Keeler or
Keelor

4. I.h. or J.H. Hughes born abt 1843 no other info

5. John Wesley Hughes born abt 1844

6. Vincent Hughes born abt 1845

7. Hannah Jane Hughes born Oct 1847 she married at least 3 times
first to Ezekiel Matthuews they had son John C. Matthuews
second marriage to John Polley/Pauley and they had 2 sons Calvin and Henry
Pauley
3rd marriage to Joseph Copeland of Phelps Co Mo he died and it is believed
Hannah returned to Pike Co where she lived out her days as Hannah Hughes????


8. Frances Hughes born 1850 she married 13 Niv 1866 to John H. Williamson
Sarah C. Hughes born Dec 1852 she married 14 Oct 1870 to Robert Wilson
Sherritt and they had family
Sarah died in April 1925 in Warren CO ,OH

9. Malinda Hughes born 1855 she married Samuel Parker
