In the Huron County, Ohio Cemetery Inscriptions by Huron County Chapter of
the OGS on page 463:
Mesnard Cemetery, also known as tje Axe Factory Cemetery, is located in Lots
4 and 6, in the southwest corner of Sect. 4, Twp. 4, Range 22, Norwalk
Township, onthe north side of SoutNorwalk Road, less than a 1/4th mile west
of Ridge Road, about a mile south of Norwalk.The inscriptions were copied in
1938 by Dale C. Kellogg, and were recopied 28 Set & 16 Oct 1988 by Dale C.
and Pauline Kellogg. They noted that this is the oldest cemetery in Norwalk
Township.
