Hi All,
I have all of the pictures that I have for both Huron and Lorain
counties ready to be uploaded. I am having a hard time getting connected to
Rootsweb. This sometimes happens. I'll be trying to make the connection
again this afternoon. I'll let you know as soon as I get it done.
I'll check the picture links that were reported not to work. I hope that
anyone that finds a broken link will let me know. That is usually the only
way I know there is a problem.
As to slow upload times. I had one gentleman try the pictures with
several different browsers. He reported that most of the pictures loaded
fairly quickly with most browsers. AOL, however, seems to have some
difficulty at times. I have had no problems with either IE or Netscape. I am
not on AOL, so I can not address that issue. There is nothing I can do to
shorten the load times. I have made the picture files as small as I am able.
I have also put each subject on it's own page, so you are waiting for only
one (most of the time) or just a few pictures to load rather than waiting
for all pictures to load at once.
Again, I thank you for your patience, I do get away from the computer
once in a while to do the mundane things in life like mow the grass. It has
been suggested I get some sheep to help. I'd prefer Llamas and there are
some just down the road from us. Wonder if they let them out on loan.....
