Hi Mary Jane,

In addition to the marriage information on the two Philip SEELs Debbie Orth
sent you, here are more references to a Philip SEEL (and a Jacob SEEL) I
found in our Huron County, Ohio publications. It appears that there are at
least two different Philip SEELs: a Philip SEEL born ca 1828, and a Philip C.
SEEL born 1843.

Page 264. In the Ridgefield Township Section: Jacob SEEL and his wife were
listed among the original members of the Evangelical Protestant Church,
organized on February 10, 1861.

John P. and Dorothy (GAP) SEEL and family emigrated to the U.S. from Germany
about 1870 and lived in Lyme Township with son William who had come to the
U.S about a year earlier. John and Dorothy had seven children: William,
Henrietta, Philipina, Philip, Pauline, Peter and Fred. (The first four named
were deceased by 1909.) Fred, who was born Oct. 1, 1855, marred Dora M.
BOLENBACKER on 29 Feb. 1888. Dora was born in Sherman Township, Huron County,
Ohio Dec. 13, 1857. Fred and Dora had three children: Rosa, Edna and Philip.
