Hi, all,

The Wakeman Library has just completed two new additions to their online
library, and the beginnings of our next project. We have just added a book
called "Birmingham of Yesteryear", and a newspaper called the "Birmingham
Clarion".

We also have the first 10 pages of "The History of Clarksfield" by Weeks
online and searchable. Our transcriber, Lowell Dunlap, is hard at work and
has 50 pages typed. The first 10 have been proofread, and the next 40 will
be online as soon as the proofreading is completed.

Birmingham of Yesteryear is a book full of old pictures of Birmingham with
it's history. The Clarion is a newspaper that was printed somewhere near
1980. However, it is a special issue full of historic information.

All the information online is searchable now, with the exception of the
newspaper "Vermilion Valley News". This is photocopies of the pages of the
newspaper.

All of the information can be reached from the Wakeman Home page:

http://www.wakeman-ohio.com

as well as from the Genealogy Resources page of the Wakeman Community
Library:

http://www.wakemanlibrary.com

Good luck, and remember to try several different spelling of the names.
