I'm trying to find out when my grandmother's family lived in Norwalk. My grandmother was Leona P. Keller.
I know they were there between 1913 and 1916, but I don't know when they arrived (presumably from Zanesville or that area) nor when they left (presumably for Sandusky - they were definitely in Sandusky in the 1940s).
The parents were Charles E(li) Keller and Ethel L. Conn Keller. I have a newspaper clipping from my grandmother's engagement (early 1916), giving the family's address as 19 West Chestnut Street. I have another clipping, a few months later, from their marriage (rescheduled from June to April), giving the address as Walnut Street (no number). They were married at the Presbyterian study by Rev. A. J. Funnell.
The groom (my grandfather) was (Clarence) Humphrey Phillips, son of Mrs. William F. Patterson of Summit Street. The Pattersons were from New Castle, PA, and at some point returned there. Another mystery. Humphrey was employed by the L. Oppenheimer Co. - don't know what that was, either.
Actually, and and all information about these families would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill Phillips
