Hi Karen,
Thanks for the kind words.
>From what I found, it appears that the Huron County Reuben Stotts, b. 1806,
is a different person than the Reuben Stotts who married Rachel Clark and had a
son named William Stotts.
The Huron County Reuben was born 1806, married a Martha Fisher in 1865, and
was still married to her in 1880 according to the Federal census for Ripley
Twp, Huron County, of that year. I found no record of any other marriage of this
Reuben, either before or after 1865. His family in 1880 consisted of Martha,
age 33; a daughter Ella, age 18; and a son Reuben, age 6. I could find no death
date for Martha.
The Reuben Stotts who married Rachel Clark was born about 1829. Rachel Clark
was born in 1831 in Allegheny County, MD, died Oct 1870, and was buried in
Tedrow Cemetery, Dover Twp, Fulton County, OH. They had one son named William W.
STOTTS born 1845 in Wauseon, Fulton County, OH. William was listed as having
four wives (sequentially, not concurrently). Apart from this Reuben being
born about 23 years after the Huron County Reuben, his wife Rachel died in 1870,
five years after Martha Fisher married the Huron County Reuben.

the same person as the Reuben Stotts who married Rachel Clark, or were you
trying to determine if both Reuben Stotts had a common ancestor?
