Hi I am new to this list. I am researching my ggrandparents who lived in Huron Co. New London Village . The Bowles family Richard and Diana and the boys William and (my ggrandfather )George arrived sometime in the 1830s from somewhere in England. William married a George married a Mary Saxton and Later married Ida May Rogers. I think she was the Daughter of Andrew and Clara of New London.M y great Uncle William served in the civil war and married and divorced. I would like to get any kind of info about any of these people such as land, marrieage, tax, cemetery records as well as contact with anyone else doing research. I am at the brick wall stage in my research due to the uncertainty of ida's parents . I think Richard may have had some Bowles relatives allready in the area when he arrived from England as the 1860 census shows a Mary Bowles visiting them from Greenwich, Huron co. born in Ohio and age 18. I hope this rings a bell with someone. I live in L.A.,Ca. and would we!
lcome
finding someone who could do local lookups! By the way my uncle William Bowles is rumored to have owned a tavern by the railroad tracks in New London (1870- ???) but I have not found any buisness liscenses or any such thing. Thank you Randi Bowles-Meentzen
