I checked the Death Index: Huron County Ohio Court Records -- 1867-1908.

There were no Bements in that index or the Birth Index for the same time
period.

Here is the only Julius C. Bement in the Civil War Records at
www.ancestry.com. There was no pension record noted. I searched for
Reuben, Ruben Bement but found no record in any of the Civil War databases
at www.ancestry.com. There are two Edwards -- one 116 NY Infantry and
another 12 Michigan Infantry.

Huron County Cemetery Book has just four Bement burials; and all buried next
to each other in Wakeman Village Cemetery, Wakeman Twp. Names were: Robert
O. Sr, Kenneth, Clinton E., Joyce Bellamy Bement. Let me know if you want
these transcriptions, earliest burial was 1937, latest in 1987.
