Thank you for your suggestion to check Ancestry.com out at a library. But
the two I am closed to in Aiken, SC, and Augusta, GA, do not care about
genealogy that much, and I would be shocked if either of them had it. I went back
to the Aiken Library several days ago and they still had the same old stuff,
with nothing added, that I have found 7 to 10 years ago.

It distresses me very much to think that the paid sites would have the
audacity to take people's money, at the same time they are taking our information
we donate feely and use it to charge people more money. They basically sell
what we give away out of the kindness of our heart.

May I ask how you have mangaged to learn that you are going to be referred
to one of these sites beforehand, because they always catch me offgaurd? And
I have found them pulling up in something you would think could not possibly
be connected with them. That is probably why they sponsor some of the free
sites, that have little information in them, to gain information to be used in
their paid site to charge people to obtain.
