Hi,
Just heard by my latest OGS Newsletter that a House Bill 519 was
introduced by State Representative Bryan C Williams (R) of Akron that copies
of Marriage Licenses shall have Social Security Numbers and Maiden Names of
Mothers of the parties to the marriage deleted by the court so they are not
available to the person requesting the records.
All Ohio residents should express any concerns to their State
Representatives immediately. If Ohio passes this bill all other States may
also consider something similar. This is a warped sense of privacy if the
requester is entitled to receive the requested copy.
