Hi Margaret I dont have personal knowledge so I checked some search engines
for you. Abraham & Isaiah WINTERS are listed in 1807 OH Tax List in St
Eubenville page 007; 1808 Tax List lists both in Island Creek page 052 1809
Tax List has them in Cross Creek and 1820 Census Cross Creek lists an
Abraham, Isaiah & Isaac but 1820 also lists an Isaiah & William at Island
Creek. An Abraham WINTERS is listed OH Jefferson Co Lagrange twp page 426 &
an Eli
is listed in 1850 Crawford Co OH Lykens twp page 066 & two Eli are listed in
1860 Lykens twp page 247 & 248. An Abraham WINTERS enlisted as a Private
and served during war of 1812 in 1 Regiment (Williamson) Ohio Milita.
The search engine listed WINTERS in 1800 census for other states but not
OH.
Hope this helps
