Researching my ggfather, Leamon W. Martin, b. cir. 1843, of Steubenville, OH. He was orphaned at an early age and it is difficult to find the names of his parents. Have determined his mother's name was Malissa, but do not know maiden name.

Father was possibly James or John. Have found the following in the 1840 census index:

John Martin, Island Creek Twp. 171;
John Martin, Knox Twp. 187;
James Martin, Brush Creek Twp. 193;
John Martin, Ross Twp. 200

Would appreciate a look up by someone with access to these records, to see what other information is included about each of these individuals.
