Subject: Samuel Arnold in Knox Twp early 1800s

Dear Listers:

I am still helping my son-in-law, Cliff Giles, to find information on his
mother's lines. We have traced his 4th ggrandfather, Samuel Arnold, to Knox Twp.
He was in the 1830, 1840, and 1850 census records for that township with 7
children and Samuel apparently is a widower.

Cliff is descended from Samuel's son Austin Arnold b. @1838 who married Mary
Ann Peters about Dec 1862 in Jefferson County.

Does anyone know where Samuel Arnold might have come in from as they are
definitely one of the early settlers there?
