20. Anne MARQUIS (James, Thomas, William) was born abt. 1780 in
Frederick, Va. She married Moses BONHAM.

Children: Vance, Moses Jr., Matilda, Thomas, Amanda, Axtell. I
believe the children should include Smiley H. and Mary Ann and delete
Axtell whom I believe is Benona Axtell married to Amanda.

I have Smiley H. BONHAM, born May 29, 1814, Knox County, Ohio, to Iowa
1839, died April 18 1879 (from his obit. Iowa City Newspaper, read Iowa
City Historical Library).

His mother was Ann Bonham, from Indenture of Apprenticeship dated May 1,
1830, Knox County, Ohio.

His father was Moses BONHAM from Guardianship of Smiley BONHAM, Knox
County, Ohio dated November 3, 1829.

Estate of Ann BONHAM, 1831, Knox County lists buyers: MARQUIS, Wm.,
Henry, Edward,Lucinda, Mary, Samuel, James; Iasaac MORRISON, Greenbury
KING, Wm. PARKS, Luther HILL, Joseph ADAMS, John MOTT, Josph ROBERTSON,
Benjamin FUTHEY, and Thomas M. BONHAM.

Based on deeds on record at Knox County I know: 1811 Moses, Sr. BONHAM
bought land from MARQUIS; 1835-1839 this land was deeded between Moses
BONHAM, Jr. to Thomas M. BONHAM; Matilda BONHAM to Benona AXTELL,
husband of her sister Amanda BONHAM; Mary Ann BONHAM to AXTELL, Smiley
H. BONHAM to AXTELL; Thomas M. BONHAM to Isaac Hadley.

Does anyone have more information on Ann MARQUIS/Moses BONHAM?
