I just came across Finley Goslin whom I believe I am related. I know this post has been up for a while, but I will try to connect anyway. My family spelled their name Gorslin, but I have found it spelled several other ways including Goslin, Gosline, Gosling. My gg grandfather was Robert Finley Gorslin/Goslin born in Meigs Co., Ohio April, 1858. He is the 4th child of John Goslin and Jane Elizabeth Geaslin. John his father was born 1822 in VA and his mother Jane Elizabeth was also born in VA 1827.

Mary F. Gorslin b. 1847, VA
Elza T. Gorslin b. 1849, OH
Julia A. Gorslin b. 1855, OH
Robert Finley Gorslin b. 1858, OH
Eliza C. Gorslin b. 1862, OH
Electa J. Gorslin b. 1867, OH
Lissa Ellen Gorslin b. 1869, OH
I did find Civil War records of Finley Goslin which I am sure by now you may have. Because of his age, I believe him to be an Uncle of my Robert Finley. Let me know any of this sounds familiar.
