My great,great grandfather John White, born abt 1825-28, was married in
Gallia County, Ohio on 15October1848 to a Nancy Anette Shoemaker. John died 12May
1888 in Harrison Township, Gallia County. The census reports indicate a
birthplace of Ohio. His thirteen children also say father born in Ohio. I can make no
connection to any White family in Gallia County during the time frame
1848-1888. Given the proximity of Harrison Township, Gallia County to Lawrence
County, does anyone have a John White who might have moved to Gallia County? Any
help greatly appreciated.
