Russ Drake of San Leandro, CA,
My RITTER/RUTTER family is connected to some of the DRAKE family in
Northern Virginia. My third Great Grandfather, Stephen A. RITTER/RUTTER helped
to found the Village of St. Louisville, Licking County, Ohio in 1837-1838. His
wife was Mary "Polly" RITTER/RUTTER and it appears her part of the family is
the one connected to the following DRAKE family. This DRAKE family is also
connected to the SHINER family from the same area. Some of the SHINERS came to
Licking County with Stephen and Mary "Polly" Ritter but it appears they returned
to Virginia.
I hope some of this information helps you as you did not say much
concerning what DRAKES you are connect.
