Were some of military units from the standing army in Hesse-Kassel, and perhaps other similar units, contracted to King George of England for service in England. And subsequently were any of them shipped to his American Colonies. Is there any record if German speaking units being sent from England to America by King George III?

I have this 3G's-grandfather Henry Iles (vs spellings) - who the family believes was a Hessian soldier during our War for Independence -
1.. He was thought to have been "born and reared" in England.
2.. He was captured in New York -
3.. He escaped and made his way to Rockingham County, Va.
4.. He married Mary M. Stine of Reading, PA. He was a tailor.
The source of the numbered satements is History of Hocking Valley Ohio, 1883. Repulished by Hocking County branch of the OGS.
They were both German speaking - and I suppose she and her family may have befriended him.
Eventually he made his way to Licking County, Ohio, where he purchased land in about 1806.
