I found the following during my grandchildren's soccer practice this
afternoon. I located this at a small neighborhood park located just a few miles south
of Old Town San Diego, California. Apparently, when they started the park they
had to remove some of the graves. They made a memorial to the interned at one
end of the park which includes their original tombstones.

Augustine P. McKenna
Corporal Co. G 61st Ohio Reg
Born: January 6, 1842
Perry County, Ohio
Died: March 1, 1897
San Diego, California

NOTE: Augustine's tombstone was large and of very good quality and in
excellent condition.

Also, of interest was the following since Koontz family was in the area also:

Elizabeth wife of John Koontz
1827-1918

John Koontz
1829-1917

NOTE: Both of the Koontz inscribtions were on the same headstone.
