Hi David,

I don't yet know anything about the parents or siblings of my Elizabeth Evans, but there were several Evans families in and around Elizabethtown in the mid 1800's . . . one lived right across the street from my Elizabeth and was close enough in age to possibly be a brother or cousin (can't remember the name and don't have the info with me at the moment). Do you have the booklet on Perryton that includes the town history and a plat map of the town lots? If not, I can email the pages to you. My Elizabeth Evans was born in 1804 in Fauquier, VA. and died 3 Jan 1885 at the Newark, Ohio, home of her daughter, Sarah [Green] Cox. She is buried in the Perryton cemetery. She married William S Green abt. 1832 and they settled in Elizabethtown. I believe I also saw the Seward name on the town plat map . . . I don't have it with me right now to check. I'm attaching an interesting article about Elizabethtown from an 1878 edition of the Newark Banner. The article mentions an Edward!
Evans who makes wagons and buggys. I'm interested to know more about the Elizabethtown Evans families on which you have collected information.
Regards,
Shirley Dixon
