I have two Samuel P. Johnstons in Richland Twp., Logan. One born 1804; the other born 1818. I believe the 'P' stands for either Powers or Pollack.

My problem is that I have them in consecutive censuses (4 of them) in Richland Twp. When one appears, the other disappears. So they must be the same person? Right? (2x born 1804, 2x born 1818)

If any one is familiar with this line, please .. could you help me unravel this?
