Greetings from FixitLand!

I am assembling a "Complete Ralph Flanagan" project and rewriting the RF discography published by Metolius Music. For those who may not know, Ralph Flanagan was a bandleader, pianist and arranger who had the number-one dance band in the US back in the early 1950s. I'm looking for any information on his early years.

Ralph was born in Lorain OH, April 7, 1919. I am told by one of his fellow musicians that his real surname was FLENIKEN (spelling unsure). I have no information beyond that, other than his mother was a church organist.

Can anyone help with further details (parents' names, siblings, etc)?
