Diane, regarding your message posted on the Lucas County site...(as follows):

"I have just completed a book on my Irish relatives who lived in Toledo for
several years (1864-80). Where should I donate this book in order for it to
have the most genealogical value? I would very much like to hear from
distant cousins who I know are out there but I have not found. Diane
Mahoney, Baltimore, MD"

Would you possilbly have included the Queenan, Gilday, or Feeney families
in your book? My Queenan's and Gilday's were born in Ireland -- not
certain of the County but I believe it may be County Mayo or one the nearby
counties.... My great grandfather, John Thomas Queenan was the son of
Thomas and Ann (Gilday) Queenan. I am not certain of the birth place of
Thomas -- on John Queenan's death certificate it says Michigan . While I
suspect he was born in Ireland (his father who lived to 104 never left
Ireland), I do know there were a large number of Queenans living in the
Monroe, Michigan area and we have written notes, diary entries that
identifies cousins living in that area as well as Toledo. Thomas Queenan
was born about 1810 (a pure guess) and died about 1855. Ann Gilday was
born in Ireland in 1832 and died January 3, 1914 in Toledo Ohio. She
married Thomas Queenan when she was in her twenties and he was in his
forties -- family tradition supports that). She married again to Daniel
Feeney in about 1856. They lived on Monroe Street and had 4 more children
james, Daniel, Francis (Frank) and Mary. John Thomas Queenan was born
January 3, 1854, died September 2, 1936 and is buried in St. Joseph's
Cemetery, Sylvania, Ohio -- along with his mother (Ann (Gilday) (Queenan)
Feeney), and the rest of the Feeney family.. John Queenan, his wife
(Nellie Hollister), and their daughter Mary Helen Queenan lived
Sylvania. John Queenan took back his father's name (from Feeney) when he
was 21 years old (1875). I have no proof but it is possible that Ann
Gilday came to the U.S. in her early twenties.....

I have the death certificates of Ann (Gilday) (Queenan) Feeney, Daniel
Feeney, John Thomas Queenan, Nellie (Hollister) Queenan, and their daughter
(my grandmother) Mary Helen (Queenan) Tipping. All lived in Lucas County,
Ohio.

Any Connection to these families?

Thanks!
