Dawn,

I made a big breakthrough in just a couple of hours at the library of the
Daughters of the American Revolution. You don't need to be a member to
use the library, there's only a five dollar donation for non members.
Call ahead, they have some funny hours and restrictions during certain
parts of the year. But the library is large and comprehensive and just
plain beautiful architecturally, too.
