Hi, Kathy,
You mentioned St. Antoine's Church in Monroe. As a matter of information,
there was a memorial recently erected to commemorate the burial ground
connected to this church. I have 7 direct ancestors and many more nondirect
there, so my sister and I became involved with the Board of the Friends of
St. Antoine. Apparently the church fell into disrepair and was replaced in
the 1830s by St. Mary's Church, a few miles away. It is still in operation.
If anyone is interested in more information on this, please contact me
privately as this is off the subject of Lucas County genealogy.
