census indices suggest that the Fulton county HALLETTs
were there before my John arrived from England in 1853. John lived on
Franklin Avenue in Toledo and left 2 properties on Summit St as well as a
200 acre farm in Lucas County, Washington Township, on the Ottawa river,
when he died in 1899. Would any listers know if the Hallett railway tower
was named after Hallett Farm? Internet searches also show a Hallett Avenue
and it is not a common name in Ohio - as I do not know the geography maybe
this is the one you mention in Swanton.
