Good morning list
Hope you all are doing well
I have a puzze on my hands----I am trying to locate a death certific for a JOHN ELMER BROWN --- here is what I know
He died in 1917 and is buried out in Defiance Oh in New Riverside Cemetery----now I called the cemetery to see what records they have on him-----all they had is a date of burial march 24, 1917 and the name of the undertaker---thats it----
one of our cousins who lives in Defiance went to the court house to find a death certific for him they have none
I have file to the state of Ohio 4 different times ----they have none---
an older family member thinks he may have died in the Toledo Area could someone check for me??
this is driving us crazy-----there are also alot of stories as to how he died as well ------grandmother (his daughter)
told us he died in a barn fire-----one older cousin says he died from the flu another says he died in a motorcycle accident-------
something else ----his neice who will be 92 this year remembers the funeral as rushed-- hurry up and get it over with-- there was no real doings for him---but she can't remember how he died -----she was real young and it was kept quiet---
His wifes name was ALTA MAE REPLOGLE
I greatly appreciate anything anyone may have on him----thank You-------Susan Holland Ohio
