My Mother's maternal grandmother, Adeline Guire was supposedly born on 6 May
1848 in Erie, Monroe county, MI. I was never able to find a record despite
exhaustive searching of S. Joseph, Erie and St Antoine, Monroe church
records.

Now finally I am almost positive she was born at her family's farm in
Manhattan township, now the Bay View golf course on Summit St at Maumee Bay.
Also the year is probably 1847.

We moved from Michigan to California in 2001 so it is no longer possible for
me to search locally but I found a web site of Lucas County churches at:
http://www.bgsu.edu/colleges/library/cac/church2.html#lucas

From that list I chose the most likely church at Maumee:
http://www.bgsu.edu/colleges/library/cac/ms0875.html
This would have been a relatively short trip up the Maumee River.

"St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee, Ohio began in 1831 as a Station of
St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin. In 1841, St. Joseph Catholic Church
became a Mission of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Toledo."

Roll 1
Record Book, 1841 - 1879
Baptisms
Marriages
Interments
Index to Baptisms, 1859 - 1927
Baptisms, 1859 - 1927

I would love to go anywhere in Ohio to view these microfilmed records but I
have commitments here in CA as babysitter for my grandsons. If someone could
tell me where the microfilm could be viewed I could probably ask a relative
from MI to go there and copy records. Better yet if someone more local could
make copies for me I would gladly compensate them. Since I need a bapt from
1837 or 1838 and a marriage about 1835 maybe I need to look at St. Mary
Catholic Church in Tiffin or St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Toledo?

I thought I saw another web site that had more early Catholic churches? The
Maumee church site mentions St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Toledo
but that church is not on the first list?

Below Is the family I am looking for. The parents were born / baptized in MI
but married unknown probably in Lucas cty, OH about 1835.

In 1860 census Erie twp, Monroe cty, MI says 5 remaining children born in

Any help is greatly appreciated.
