Stephanie,
I see by the obituary index that F. J. Blessing, of 5731 Blessing Dr. (!), died on New Year's Day, 1954 at the age of 50. His obituary is in The Blade of Jan. 2nd.
His widow is listed in the 1957 Polk Suburban Directory as Ardath P. Blessing. It appears she remarried, as there is a death of an Ardath Blessing Fortney in Lucas County listed in the Blade of October 27, 1996.
Headline: Ardath Blessing Fortney.
Name: Fortney, Ardath Blessing.
Date of death: Oct 25, 1996
Age: 90
Address: Autumnwood of Sylvania Nursing Home.
Spouse: Fred
Source: Blade.
Newspaper: Bld.
Newspaper date: 19961027
Section: A
Page: 22
Column: 3
I will try to get both obituaries to you by tomorrow or Saturday.
Steve..

>Looking for information, concerning my Grandfather Fred John Blessing 1903-1954 married a woman Ardath Kay. Don"t know if her last Name. They are both from Toledo. Christian John Blessing, was remembered, for steps he had done at Alexis Cong. Church, on N. Detroit. Trying to find out if she is related to Abraham Lincoln. My Aunt has done a lincoln Family Tree, and we are related though, the Bryan side of our family, my Grandmother Ardath. Any info, greatly appreciated.
