From "The Blade", Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999:
Dorothy M. Shade, 73 years, of Key Street, Maumee, died Monday, October 25,
1999 at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee. Mrs. Shade was born on February16, 1926
to Otto W. and Clara A. (Kuich) Yunker. She married Richard C. Shade, Sr., on
December 18, 1948 in Toledo and he preceded her in death on September 24,
1987. Dorothy was a cashier for the Pharm, Parkway Plaza and the former
Westhaven Drug Store for 25 years, retiring in 1996.
Surviving are her sons, Richard (Linda) of Waterville and Daniel E.
(Sandra) Shade of Toledo; grandchildren, Chad, Brian and Jeremy Shade;
great-grandchildren Jordon, Tyler and James, and sister, Mrs. Clara (Clarence) Souslin.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 1999 at
Springfield Township Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Those planning an
expression of sympathy are asked to consider the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are being handled by the Neville Funeral Home Southwest Chapel.
