Hope this helps your search for the Obrist and Oberst Families in Toledo for 1899 City Directory. The 1890 Census were burned by fire, so
this directory would be a good indicator of their living in Toledo and their professions through 1900. Below is exactly how it reads:

There is also name of OBERSKI, OBLINGER, OBERMEYER OBERLIN, OBERLY, OBERLE
