Have been searching for the family of Ebenezer JONES. Know they emigrated from
Merthyr Tydfil Galamorgan Wales in 1867/8. Census records in 1880 show them in
IL, with a son born in PA in 1870. I haven't been able to find them in PA in
the 1870 census. I did see a reference in the Passenger list reference books
of an Ebenezer JONES who emigrated in 1868 and applied for naturalization in
Mahoning OH. Looking at the map I see that Mahoning is right on the PA border
and wonder if he could be mine. The Ohio Geneaological Society published a
booklet calle MAHONING COUNTY OHIO NATIONAL PROCEEDINGS PRE 1870 IMMIGRANTS.
Ebenezer is suposed to be listed on page 51. Anyone have access to this
booklet? ANyone have the Mahoning portion of the Ohio census for 1870 to look
up Ebenezer? Any help appreciated
