Glad to hear from you, and yes I have found quite a bit of information since we last communicated. First, I didn't get to the library while I was in Yo., but found out that my godfather has a copy of the book and I will check it out closely nest time I'm in Yo.. Second I found out that both my great grandfather, Frank Reilly and his brother Charlie both worked for the Yo. fire department in the 20's and 30's. I also found out that they worked at several stations over the years and that Frank was working out of the McGuffy Rd. station when he was injured by being thrown off of the back of a horse drawn engine that hit a curb and pitched him. I also found out that it was a false alarm that they were responding to. I also learned that 2 of Frank's sons were memebers of the Yo. Fire Dept. (Bill and John), for awhile. I even found a picture of my great grandfather in uniform..So, overall, I would say I did quite well information-wise while I was home for the holidays. Th!
anks so much for your interest. Have you found out any info about your Grandfather?
