I thought I would share what I have on the Wurzel saga. My information state's that Philip (Peter) Wurzel had 7 children.
Joseph, Josephine,George, Mary Ann, Pearl, William and one more female who maaried a Rettinger)
The grandfather's name was Henry or Henrie. The story is that he served as a Brigadier General in the French Army. From 1805-1813 the leader of Hesse Darmstadt, Louis X, supplied Napoleon with troops. I didn't see a Henrie De Wurzel or anything near it listed among the general's, but who knows. My recods show that the son...Philip came to the US first, and obtained citizenship in 1848. I have not verified this with any official records. Henrie then came later in 1856. Philip/Peter was listed on the 1870 census as being 52, but I do not have that census, just a note from a relative. It further states that his last will was dated 12/04/1890

Ross, I have some stuff on the Morow's if you are interested.
