Hi all
First of all I'd like to thank Allen Potts for the amount of information he is inputting to the "net". It is more than anyone else is doing on any other list to which we are subscribed.
My g. grandfather (William Bingham) emigrated to Australia in 1860. In the 1870s two of his sisters Dina Lavelle, Matilda McLaughlin and their families settled in Marion. Anthony and Matilda McLaughlin were living at W. Church St. in 1907 with their six adult children and one grand daughter. I have found the naturalisation of Anthony McLaughlin on Allen Pott's list in 1876. I have also found the naturalisation of an Andrew McLaughlin in 1874 and a Henry Bingham in 1882 witnessed by Andrew McLaughlin.
I have found several McLaughlin, Lavelle and Bingham deaths in Marion on the Ohio deaths 1913-1937 on the Internet. I believe them all to be related. All the Binghams (except one lady, who was probably one of their wives) had first names common in my Australian Bingham family. I think it is possible that the McLaughlins have left no descendants. Does anyone know anything about the Bingham family in Marion? Thank you!

Ian
