Hello Fellow Researchers,
I am researching the STOCKER surname. There were four generations living in Marion and Morrow Counties, living there from the 1830s to around the 1890s. Anyone researching or have any info on this Surname?
I discovered a book titled "Marion County Ohio Court Records" at the Genealogical Library here in Houston. It contains a listing of the "Common Pleas Court Docket, October 1846 thru June 1847". The section titled "Marion County Ohio Court Issue Docket June 1847 Term" contains a reference to my GG Grandfather, "Case 90". These records, according to the book, were retrieved by the MCHS just before they were to be destroyed. I would like to know how I might obtain a copy of that particular court proceeding without having to go to Ohio. I did take a look at their Homepage, but saw nothing on how to acquire copies of any of their records on file. Anyone know how this can be accomplished?
