Nancy,
I believe I am going to be your first customer. If you can find anything
for me I will be eternally grateful.
The following family was living in Liverpool Township in the 1850s.
1. Erving Farnsworth was born 1813 in Vermont. He married Harriet.
Children:
i. Mary Farnsworth born 1833 in Pennsylvania.
ii. Guy C. Farnsworth, born October 15, 1836 possibly in Allegheny County,
Pennsylvania. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Cleveland, Ohio,
and later to Liverpool, Medina county, where Guy obtained his education. He
first attended the common schools and then spent two terms at Baldwin's
Institute, Barea, Ohio. Upon leaving school, he learned the machinists'
trade of his father, and followed this occupation at different points until
1857.
Guy's exact place of birth is not clear. His Declaration for Pension states
that he was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania but his obituary says
that he was born near Erie, Pennsylvania.
iii. Ann C. Farnsworth born 1841 in Pennsylvania.
iv. Henry Farnsworth born 1843 in Ohio.
v. Emily Farnsworth born 1844 in Ohio.
