Hi! I am looking for further information on my Grandmother, Elizabeth Ann
Myers. Born March 15, 1887 to a "Mrs. Myers and an Indian" probably in
New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio; Gramma told of being placed
in an orphanage when her mother remarried. She was told she originally
had 7 siblings. She was eventually "adopted" out to a couple ~ Frances
(d:17 March 1905) and Alfred Hiscox (d:24 Nov 1932) ~ who lived in Silver
Creek, Medina County, Ohio at least from 1890 to 1905. This couple reportedly
already had 2 natural children; names unknown.
Gramma's natural parents MAY have been Susan Elizabeth Myers (b: 1860)
and Jacob Eppler. Susan Elizabeth Myers was originally from Brighton, Lorain,
Ohio.
Should anyone out there have further information, please feel free to contact
me. Already there are two of us working together on this line trying to
come up with more information. We'd love to add a third cousin connection!
