I am not in the DAR but below is a cut and paste from the letter I sent to
the DAR requesting my Aunt's record of application and pedigree. She gave
me all the information but you could probably just give your grandmother's
name (be sure to include the maiden name in case she applied that way).

Dear Registrar,

I am attempting to trace my family tree and need the copies of my aunt's
application pedigree so I will have more clues as to where to search.

My aunt's National Number is 467769. She became a member in October 1959
and her name at that time was Frances McIntire Getzman (or Chesney, I'm not
sure who she was married to at the time.). She told me that she dropped out
of the DAR in 1965.

I am sending $5.00 to cover costs. Please send the documentation you have
to me at the above address. I would also like to have any information
handouts you have about your organization and what you stand for.
