Ewing Eugen Hutton
Died: Thursday, February 27, 2003
Age: 75
RUTLAND -- Ewing "Moose" Eugene Hutton, 75, of Rutland, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, in Rutland.
Born June 28, 1927, in Rutland, he was the son of the late Earl and Muriel Cremeans Hutton.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Jewell Hutton; sons Edward, Mickey, Tony, Terry and Kevin Hutton, and Terry Ray Rowe; and daughters Pamela Fenwick, Marlene Johnson and Vicki Barnett.
Services will be Sunday, 1 p.m., at Fisher Funeral Home, Pomeroy. Burial will be in Miles Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

BURLINGHAM -- Wilbur F. Williams, 83, of Columbus, formerly of Burlingham, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains.
Born March 1, 1919, in Burlingham, he was the son of Samuel F. and Clara Will Williams. He attended Darwin School and graduated from Jerseyville High School in Shade. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre during the liberation of the Philippines and the occupation of Japan. He married Reba Dye and they lived in Columbus most of their lives. Wilbur was employed by Fairmont Creamery and Crown Battery in Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Dye Williams, in 2001; by his parents and an infant sister.
He is survived by a sister, Evelyn Goldsberry of Athens; a brother, Charles (Kay) Williams of Burlingham; a niece, Linda (Chuck) Schoeppner of Athens; nephews L. Alan (Stephanie) Goldsberry of Athens, Michael Charles (Nancy) Williams of Lancaster and Randy (Pam) Goldsberry of Athens; several great-nieces and great-nephews, including Kimberlie Goldsberry of Cincinnati, Stuart (Kim) Goldsberry of Marietta, and Olivia Goldsberry of Parma; and a brother-in-law, Leon Dye of Columbus.
Services will be held Monday, 11 a.m., at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens, with the Rev. Tad Cuckler officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by American Legion Post 21 and VFW Post 3477 Honor Guards, assisted by Sons of the Legion.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1580 King Ave., Columbus 43212.

Mary Ann Stafford
Died: Tuesday, February 25, 2003
Age: 60
LONG BOTTOM -- Mary Ann Stafford, 60, of Long Bottom, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg, W.Va.
Born April 12, 1942, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Willis Sr. and Mary Belle Boysel. She was the widow of the late Charles E. Stafford Sr.
She is survived by her stepmother, Tessie Mae Boysel; two sons, Charles E. (Donna) Stafford of Lower Salem and Timothy S. (Katrina) Stafford of Marietta; five daughters, Sharon Stafford, Linda (Mike) Cannon, Teresa Stafford and Darlene (John) Seevers, all of Marietta, and Marlene (Nick Barber) Kesselring of Long Bottom; 13 grandchildren, C.W., Michael, Misty, Alisha, Jennifer, Ember, Erica and Kyle Stafford, John David and Amanda Seevers, and Donovan, Kacie and Kristina Cannon; and three great-grandchildren, Jordin Stafford, Hunter Maze and Haley Jane Griffin; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and three sisters.
Services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster, with the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from noon until the time of service.

Lola W. Barber
Died: Monday, February 24, 2003
Age: 103
REEDSVILLE -- Lola W. Barber, 103, of Reedsville, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Overbrook Nursing Center, Middleport.
Born June 16, 1899, in Reedsville, she was the daughter of the late Jaspher and Laura Tribblett Reed. She was a homemaker and attended Eden United Brethren Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Miles of Pomeroy and Thelma Smith of Middleport; three sons, Jerry Barber of Montana, Kenneth Barber of Hebron and Ronald Barber of Reedsville; a brother, Kenny Reed of Coolville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Margaret Buckley and Mary Belle Rowles; and three sons, Wilbur Barber, Gladden Barber and Francis Barber.
Services will be held Friday, 1 p.m., at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Age: 75
POMEROY Irene Morris, 75, of Chambers Road, Pomeroy, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at her residence.
Born Sept. 28, 1927, in Meigs County, she was the daughter of the late Pearl W. and Gladys Dilcher Reeves. She was a housewife.
She is survived by a son, Wallace (Connie) Morris of Racine; two daughters, Rebecca Runnion of Plant City, Fla. and Diana Hendrick of Dundas; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mae Dixon of Pageville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Monroe Morris; a daughter, Stella Blessing; three brothers and a sister.
Services will be held Friday, 1 p.m., at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, Albany, with Pastor Mark McComas officiating. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

LONG BOTTOM -- Hilda Kathryn Baum Carnahan, 99, of 48440 Riebel Road, Long Bottom, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at her residence.
Born April 7, 1903, in Meigs County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Bertha Torrence Baum.
She is survived by children Mary Jeanne Ritz, Dolores Hartness, Maurice W. Carnahan, Robert D. Carnahan, Robert D. Carnahan and Larry "Pete" Carnahan.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Delbert Carnahan; a daughter, Betty Carnahan; sisters Clara and Mildred; and brothers Carl, Raymond and Delmar.
Services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Ewing Funeral Home, Pomeroy. Burial will be in Chester Cemetery.

HAWK Steven Paul Hawk, age 47, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2003. He is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and step-mother. He is survived by his soul mate, Donna Duncan; special son, Dylan Paul Hawk; daughters, Stacy Hawk and Heather Boyles; 2 grandchildren; father, Charles J. Hawk; brother, Mike (Laronda) Hawk; niece, Jodi; special aunts, Mary Jo (Tony) Belivean and Margaret Custer; cousins, Kim Faulk, Darla (Mike) Diebel, Tracy Williams, Chris (Mary) Faulk, and Jacki Custer. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. at the COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his service will follow at 2 p.m. Graveside service and interment Wednesday 1 p.m. at Beech Grove Cemetery, Pomeroy, Ohio. Donations can be made at any National City Bank branch to the Steve Hawk fund.
