Hmmmmmmmmmm - I wonder of this John HOLE was the one in my database named
John Ludlow HOLE. His parents were married in NJ in 1778. His father
eventually settled in Montgomery Co., OH, but...... I don't have any dates
or spouse names for the John in my database, just that he was a son of Dr
John HOLE and second wife Mercy LUDLOW.

The Peter you mention is the one I have run into before but I do not know
how he connects to the Darke Co. HOLEs who spilled over in Mercer Co. Now
that I think about it, the given name 'John' is uncommon in this Ohio family
before 1810. I wonder....(but can't prove anything <frown>).
