I've been told that I might be able to find records about my relative
incarcerated in the Ohio Insane Asylum in Probate Court records. Is
anyone planning a trip to the court house who would be willing to look
for me? I would surely appreciate the effort. The person whose
records I'm looking for is Henry A. Smith, 1800-1842. The final
settlement of the will was made in 1848, the same year that Auglaize
Co. was formed. So, I don't know in which courthouse the records
would be housed. I'm not sure that he is the person for whom the
money from the will was paid. It could have been for another family
member. But I have to start somewhere. Thanks. Leila
