My VIANS lived in Knox Co. when Wm. purchased several parcels of land from
the Feds. It was later (probably after 1851) that his son Jeremiah was
said to have moved to Mercer Co. from Knox, but several of Jeremiah's other
brothers may have been there earlier.
John seemed to settle in Recovery Twp. with Jeremiah up in either Dublin
or Blackcreek Twp.

Jeremiah's daughter Mary Jane married Charles Geo. SELL and they are
ancestors of Dr. Jerry SELL now practicing in Rockford (Shane's Crossing)
as well as my mother.

Have you checked w/ the Genealogy Society about their first families?

I'm interested in early correspondance of the settlers....anyone have any
old letters etc?
