I do a lot of look-ups for Darke & Mercer Counties, Ohio.
I have tried to find something to help you with your family names.

ZAHNER, August -married -age 36-6-5- died in Butler Twp. born in France.

ZAHNER, Anna - age 1-5-8 - died in Butler Twp. born in Butler Twp.

March 7, 1888
ZAHNER, Henry age 7-10-21 - died in Butler Twp. born in Butler Twp.

There is no mention of the name in 1850 ot 1870 Census books.

They may be in the 1880 Census, but I do not have that here.
I will look at the surname index and send you that info if found,
in my next e-mail to you.

I went thru all the 8 Cemetery Books I have here for Mercer Co.,
and find no burials for them, or any name like that.

You might try writing the Mercer Co. Chapter of the OGS
at PO Box 437, Celina, Ohio 45822
They do a good job of keeping information about residents
and genealogical studies. They do not charge much for
copies or for a basic search. It might be very helpfull.
