Terry,

I would be happy to check for your info in the Mercer County court house,
but it is a "purdy fur
piece" from my house here in Southwest Missouri to Mercer County. I hope to
get back there next
spring or summer. Hopefully, we can get more about the Bodkins sorted out
between now and then. If
not, I will be glad to look for the info for both you and myself.

Sue,

I haven't determined for sure just who that Rachel Preston is yet, but I
think she is probably
Rachel (Roll) Preston wife of Robert Simpson Preston who came up to Mercer
from Hamilton County,
Ohio. Robert was probably a brother to my ggggrandfather William Preston who
is buried in Bodkin
Cemetery near Montezuma, Ohio. That Rachel was born in New Jersey and Robert
was born in
Pennsylvania. I have yet to find a connection of my Hamilton/Mercer Prestons
to the Franklin County
Prestons, although I did start searching for them first in Franklin County
before I found them in
Mercer and tracked them back to Hamilton. I also have much on the Rolls, a
quite predominate name in
Hamilton County at one time, but not many of them went to Mercer.

Let me know if you need more info, especially on the Mercer/Hamilton
Prestons. And I would
appreciate anything on Pennsylvania Prestons(Washington and Centre Counties).
