Hello, thanks for the inquirey:This George Shaffer was the 2nd generation of
this family and the 1st to be born in America. His father George Shaffer, b.
Bavaria? m. Margaret Snyder, settled on an 60 acre of timberland in Van Wert
county, I guess bordering Mercer County. I have a note they had 8 children
but I only have records on 3 George (oldest), John and Catherine. My wife
Esther Shaffer is related through John. George Winch
