David Hastings () has had Polly RALPH as the 'tag' on
several HEARN et al. queries. (HEARNs neighbors of & witnesses for HASTINGS-
Sussex DE bef & aft 1800 and some married).

On Alafare BENNETT HASTINGS probate record 1845, Polly RALPH is the first
name mentioned.

On husb. James HASTINGS' will 1833, 'Maria' is #3 in listing of his children.
[Note - : Oldest John is said to be son of a 1st wife, and #2 listed Eleanor
(Nellie) (m. a KINNEY) seems to be born same year as John. (Can anyone
confirm this?) So that is perhaps why Polly RALPH is #1 in Alafare BENNETT
HASTINGS probate.]

Delaware marriage records show Mary 'Polly' HASTINGS m. William RALPH on Jan.
6, 1827.

Their grandson, John Ralph, went to Ohio to visit Hastings cousins and
married. Alafare Elizabeth Ellen HASTINGS b. 1858, Mercer Co., OH, dau. of
Waitman b. 1819, son of James and Alafare BENNETT HASTINGS (to confuse things
a little more!)
