Hello, I am looking for any information on Rev. John Jay Miller, in the
Shanesville (old name for Rockford) area from about 1845 to 1855 or so. He
was a Lutheran Minister at what church I do not know. I do know that four
of his seven children was born in Ohio. His wife was Henrietta Carpenter
(Smith) Miller. They are my 2nd great grandparents. They moved on to
East Felciana Parish, La. to be near his family, due to loss of his
voice. This put a stop to his being a minister.
