There are lots of posts on GenForum about this family - have you
checked there? Here's one post:

Lemuel Backford was born about 1783 in NJ. His wife Mary was born
1779-1780 in NJ. They had 3 sons: Daniel b.1808, William b. 1814, and
Samuel b. 1818. Lemuel died 1846 in Miami or Champaign Co. OH and Mary
died 1851 in OH. Need marrage and birth information.

I just Googled "Lemuel Blackford" ...
